Jillian's first sleepover...well kinda!

Jillian had been asking for months if Natalie could come over and have a sleepover. Well with school being over Suzanne and I decided to give it a try, a modified version anyway. With Todd working nights and Ben being out of town we decided to have a sleepover with Natalie, Jillian, Brayden, Ally, Suzanne, and myself. The evening started out with make your own pizzas and makeovers. The night ended with one big sleepover in the living room. Maybe next time Suzanne and I will be brave enough to try it for real! :) Great fun had by all!

Happy Camp

Well living in Canyon Lake sometimes has it perks! One that we believe is a total perk is "Happy Camp". Happy Camp is a campground on the lake that can be used by people that live here and their friends. We try to go at least three times a year and June is usually the first. We invite everyone we know and whoever shows up during the week is in for some fun! This June was no exception!

Jillian leaves Preschool

Well after two years at Good Shepherd Preschool it is finally time for my little girl to step out into the big world of elementary school!!!! The time seemed to fly by and was filled with lots of programs, painting, and playing. On this final night the kids sang and were brought to the microphone and asked what they wanted to be when they grow-up. Jillian along with a lot of other young ladies have decided to be mermaids when they grow-up. It was a wonderful night filled with laughter and a few tears (mainly from moms)!

Blueberry Picking

Here in Temecula we have a great farm where you can go and pick your own blueberries. Well like most of the activities that I plan, I had these unrealistic expectations about how the trip would go. I imagined the four of us laughing, picking blueberries that we would later bake in a pie, chatting, and just having a wonderful family time!

Now reality...we got to the blueberry patch with the 60 other families that had the same idea. I didn't realize how hot it can get at a blueberry patch. Brayden took off running down the patch and would not come back and of course Jillian had to go to the bathroom that was about a 1/4 mile away. So most of my time was picking blueberries by myself!

The fifteen minutes that we did spend together was a lot of fun and we did make homemade blueberry cobbler and pancakes! YUM YUM!
