Johnson Family Visits the North Pole

After Christmas this year we decided to take a special trip to the North Pole. We felt that January would be a good month to visit because Santa would not be as busy! We all loaded into the car and headed seven hours to Williams Arizona. Williams is known as the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon", but it is also known as the " Gateway to the North Pole"! We had a great time in Williams we played in the snow and took a tour around town, but the Polar Express was the real reason we were there. The Polar Express is a special train that travels to the North Pole through a special tunnel. While waiting to go through the tunnel we had a great time singing Christmas Carols, drinking hot chocolate, eating chocolate chip and hearing the story of the Polar Express. Everyone was bundled up in jammies and having a magical time. Once at the North Pole Santa boarded the train and gave each child a special gift, a silver bell off his sleigh! We had a great time and we all hope to return again real soon!

Open Wide

This month Jillian got to take her first trip to the dentist! I think I was more nervous than she was because lets face it, at this point all the responsibility falls on the parents! Jillian was a little nervous at first but when she saw the T.V. on the ceiling and that she got pick the flavor gloves that the dentist wore everything was o.k. She turned out having very strong healthy teeth with no cavities!! Good job Jillian (mom and dad)!

Happy 2010

This year we decided to ring in the new year with family and friends at the beach. It was a last minute trip that turned out to be a great time. We didn't have time to get the trailer ready so we decided to stay with my parents in their motor home. The weather was perfect and the kids had an amazing time. This may become a new Johnson Family tradition.
